Established in 2000 by families of people with disabilities, PLAN Calgary’s mission is to empower people with disabilities to live good lives. We believe that every individual in our community has the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships and we give parents peace of mind about the future, knowing that their loved one will have support and advocacy networks in place for when they are no longer able to care for their loved one.
PLAN Calgary’s Core Values
Having a network of caring relationships is the key to being safe, secure and living a good life.
We believe contribution equals citizenship. People with disabilities have important contributions to make our communities and should be recognized for them.
We are strongly committed to family leadership. PLAN was founded by families and our structure ensures we will always be directed by and accountable to families.
