For the first time in history, people with disabilities are out-living their parents. For those of us who have a family member with a disability, the question of what will happen to our loved one when we die or can no longer care for them, is very real and often very frightening.

PLAN Calgary – The Road Ahead Society is a non-profit, charitable organization that was established in 2000 by and for families who were looking for answers to the above question.

Since 2000, other Calgary families have joined us on ‘the road ahead’ to address these same concerns through the development of Personal Networks of Support for our family members. Information sessions and workshops related to planning for a safe and secure future for individuals with disabilities are also offered on an ongoing basis.

PLAN Calgary – The Road Ahead Society became an affiliate of PLAN (Planned Lifetime Advocacy Network) in 2002.
